Work permits and residence permits, handled
You need someone in Lithuania and they are not an EU national. We handle the whole process — from the mediation letter in MIGRIS to the permit card, the employment contract and the Sodra registration.
Before you start
The 2026 quota is exhausted. A work-based residence permit now requires the employer to commit to a monthly gross salary of at least EUR 2,893.68, or EUR 2,411.40 where the occupation is on the national High Value Added list. That commitment holds for the full validity of the permit.
The quota does not apply to the EU Blue Card, or to extending a permit someone already holds.
Whether your hire is viable this year depends on the role and the salary. We tell you that before you commit to anything. See the full 2026 rules.
What we handle
Case assessment
Whether the occupation, salary and company meet the requirements, and which permit route fits. If the case will not work, you hear it in the first conversation.
Mediation letters
Prepared and submitted through MIGRIS, with the salary commitment drafted correctly the first time.
Residence permit applications
Applications to issue or change a permit, document preparation, translations, legalisation and apostille where needed.
EU Blue Cards
Eligibility assessment and the full application, including cases where the Blue Card is the better route than a standard permit.
Appointment preparation
Your employee knows what to bring, what to expect and which originals are needed before they walk in.
Employment documentation
Contracts, annexes and internal HR documents in Lithuanian and English, aligned with what the permit requires.
Sodra and registration
Employment registration, notifications and the reporting that follows the permit.
Renewals and changes
Monitoring expiry dates, changing employer or job function, and extending permits before they lapse.
Who this is for
- Companies hiring a third-country national in Lithuania for the first time
- Companies extending permits before they expire
- Companies changing an employee's role or employer
- Companies whose mediation letter or application was returned or refused
- Companies hiring in continuous flows and needing a repeatable process
How it works
- 1
We assess the case
Occupation, salary, company, candidate. You get a yes, a no, or the conditions that would make it a yes — usually within one working day.
- 2
We prepare and submit
Mediation letter, documents, application. You supply the candidate's details; we handle the rest.
- 3
We prepare your employee
The appointment, the biometrics, the documents. Most delays come from an employee arriving unprepared.
- 4
We track the decision
You hear from us when something happens, not when you ask.
- 5
We complete the employment
Contract, Sodra registration, first working day. The permit is not the finish line.
Plan for three to four months from mediation letter to first working day. The application alone can take up to three months. Where a case is urgent, we tell you at the assessment stage whether the timeline is realistic.
What goes wrong without this
The occupation title does not match. The role selected in the mediation letter must match what the employee states in their own application. A mismatch stalls the case.
The wrong permit route. Standard permit where a Blue Card would have been faster, cheaper in practice, and exempt from the quota.
A service agreement instead of an employment contract. A work-based permit is issued only where an employment relationship exists or is intended.
Missed employer notifications. The law sets deadlines for notifying the Migration Department. Missing them ends in the permit being revoked.
How we work
Assessment first. We tell you whether the case is viable before any work is billed.
Fixed fee per case. Quoted after the assessment, so you know the cost before you commit.
One senior contact. The person who assesses your case is the person who handles it.
Your employee is supported directly. They can ask us their own questions rather than routing everything through your HR team. our page for employees
Questions we are asked
- Can we hire at all while the quota is exhausted?
- Yes, if the salary meets the threshold, or if the candidate qualifies for an EU Blue Card, which is exempt from the quota entirely.
- How long does the whole process take?
- Plan for three to four months from mediation letter to first working day. The application alone can take up to three months.
- Can our candidate come to Lithuania while the application is pending?
- Submitting an application does not grant the right to stay. There are exceptions for candidates already legally in Lithuania applying for a Blue Card.
- What does it cost?
- State fees are fixed and published. See the fee table Our fee is a fixed amount per case, quoted after the assessment.
- Do you work on single cases or only volume?
- Both. One employee or twenty — the process is the same, only the scale differs.
- Can you take over a case that has already gone wrong?
- Often yes. Send us what happened and what you have received from the Migration Department, and we will tell you whether it can be recovered.
Tell us about the hire
Answer these and we will reply within one working day telling you whether the permit is achievable, how long it would take and what salary commitment it requires. No charge for this assessment.
